All Star
Rodeo Challenge Storms through Plymouth Meeting, PA
Three Hills Rodeo Company and the Lulu Shriners
teamed up once again for this year’s installment of
the Liberty Pro Rodeo in Plymouth Meeting, PA. This
year’s event showcased the meat and potatoes of
Professional Rodeo. On September 18, 19, & 20,
Barebacks, Saddle Broncs, and Bulls thundered
through the Shrine Arena with the All Star Rodeo
Challenge. Eric Wolford of Adrian, MI took Friday
night’s bareback riding crown with an outstanding
ride. That same night, Pennsylvania native David
“Chick” Rubel came out on top in the Saddle Bronc
Riding. The bonus round bulls of the Three Hills
Rodeo Company took home the title Friday night with
no cowboy being able to tame these twisters. B.J.
Scott of Otley, IA put the hay in the barn Saturday
night with 92 points in the Bareback Riding.
Marshall, Missouri’s Will Smith took top honors in
the Saddle Bronc Riding, while another Pennsylvania
native, Clovis Crane rode to glory in Saturday’s
bull riding contest. Past Bareback champion Tim
Wilkinson of Steelville, Mo topped off the weekend
with a win in Sunday’s Bareback competition.
Pennsylvania welcomed their home state cowboy Clovis
Crane back to the winner’s circle with his win in
Sunday’s Saddle Bronc Riding contest, and Justin
Kennedy of La Porte City, IA rode for gold in the
Bull Riding.
