All Star Rodeo Challenge Storms through Plymouth Meeting, PA

Three Hills Rodeo Company and the Lulu Shriners teamed up once again for this year’s installment of the Liberty Pro Rodeo in Plymouth Meeting, PA. This year’s event showcased the meat and potatoes of Professional Rodeo. On September 18, 19, & 20, Barebacks, Saddle Broncs, and Bulls thundered through the Shrine Arena with the All Star Rodeo Challenge. Eric Wolford of Adrian, MI took Friday night’s bareback riding crown with an outstanding ride. That same night, Pennsylvania native David “Chick” Rubel came out on top in the Saddle Bronc Riding. The bonus round bulls of the Three Hills Rodeo Company took home the title Friday night with no cowboy being able to tame these twisters. B.J. Scott of Otley, IA put the hay in the barn Saturday night with 92 points in the Bareback Riding. Marshall, Missouri’s Will Smith took top honors in the Saddle Bronc Riding, while another Pennsylvania native, Clovis Crane rode to glory in Saturday’s bull riding contest. Past Bareback champion Tim Wilkinson of Steelville, Mo topped off the weekend with a win in Sunday’s Bareback competition. Pennsylvania welcomed their home state cowboy Clovis Crane back to the winner’s circle with his win in Sunday’s Saddle Bronc Riding contest, and Justin Kennedy of La Porte City, IA rode for gold in the Bull Riding.
